Game doesn't extract or run?
This is a common issue with indie games on windows where the antivirus reports false positives and blocks the game from running because it was not signed by Microsoft. To solve it, you have to whitelist the game from windows defender.

I really liked the aesthetics of the game and the tense atmosphere.

Full Play - Bad Ending (NO Commentary)
Very creepy..Enjoyed playing this one 😁😁😲😲
it was a blast playing it!
This was an awesome experience and a little taste of the Japanese urban legend. Honestly led to me looking up videos and learning about which was cool. So thank you
Amazing! Hachishakusama is one of my favourite urban legends (for reasons lol). Great story and visuals. The only problem I had and it's most likely my fault is that I couldn't spam the "E" button properly lol
ストーリーも素晴らしく、日本感が強かったです!
この話をたくさん読んで勉強したに違いありません。すごいです✨
翻訳が正確だったので、気軽にプレイできました
Great game, loved the details, story, and scares.
10/10, would recommend
I loved the atmosphere of this game and the graphics, excellent game.
Wonderful game! Got lost in the forest but enjoyed the atmosphere!
I just realized the word Hachi means eight so it's all connected
The game is great! I don’t know why, but the shadows of the old woman projected onto the walls feel so poetic. Awesome work!
It won't install using the itch gaming application or launcher. Win11pro
a suggetion for you -- try to download this game zip file on mobile (search game as desktop site )than share the zip file to your laptop or PC ..... maybe its work
Interesting, maybe try to, I don't know, go to the page using a browser and download the actual game? Hm, interesting why would that work.
You got any more stupid comments on this platform?
Love this game's style, and the Eight Feet Tall Lady
Here is a vid and stuff
The Linux version has no audio.
That's because you have more than one output device on your computer and the game chooses the first device instead of the default (unity bug on Linux). Use pavucontrol to change game audio output to whatever sound device you're using.
It works! Thank you!
This was a fun experience, and it introduced me to a set of folklore I had no idea existed up until now. I couldn’t help but do a little research after playing. The game has a good atmospheric build-up, along with some wonderfully layered sounds that put me on edge a few times. The retro visual style is on point; I’m always a fan of the “less is more” mentality when it comes to horror.
Overall, it’s an atmospherically dense horror game that knows just when to get in your face, using a methodical build-up of story and atmosphere to unsettle. The only thing I might have liked to see was a few more possible endings, or maybe some hidden secrets for veering from the main pathways (though it’s likely I just missed something).
Anyway, thanks for putting this out there, and I hope you have a great day!
Such a good game! In the beginning I noticed the Teke Teke easter egg so I knew this was gonna be a good one. And it didn't disappoint! From the visuals to the scares, the whole vibe was really well done. Can't wait to see what you will cook up next!
Man, Teketeke and Eight Feet Tall scared me half to death! The sound design, oh my, every sound felt like a whisper from another realm piercing my ears. The level design is just as insane, successfully making my heart pound. The vibes are incredibly spot-on! Especially in the cave, it felt like eyes were watching you from an eternal darkness. There must be more nightmares waiting, and I'm ready!
work of art, sounds were the best part. Not a fan of mashing keys, but the whole vibe of the game was really really good
This game was so good, very unique and well made
Great game! My chat said that "The graphic makes this jumpscare goofy af :))
