Excuse me ,I don't fully understand Japanese. I have two questions:
1. In the cave, I found a sign with Chinese/Japanese characters, which seemed to be East Blocked, West Blocked, Fire Blocked? Only the west side can get the bell, what does this mean?
2. Is the lakeside where the ritual takes place in the game in the protagonist's dream? Or vice versa? The protagonist is in the memory of his grandmother's house.
1. The signs say "West seal", "East seal" and "Fire seal" because at the end of every path there's a seal but the meaning doesn't matter that much and the writings are purely for aesthetics. And the signs are there to show that there are 3 paths that the player can look into without getting lost.
2. That's up to your interpretation but my intention was everything was real. It was not a dream.

This game seriously surprised me. The atmosphere was tense the whole time, and the legend of Hachishakusama was used perfectly. I even spotted a PS1 console in the game such a cool little detail that made it feel like a true tribute to old-school horror. It gave me strong Silent Hill vibes, and the sound design was insanely creepy. Short, but super effective. Loved it!
Hey loved the game! I did expereince an issue where mashing E only seem to register on some of the pressess but other than that really enjoyed the game. Cant wait to see what you do next!
Crap i forgot that windows doesn't allow the ":" character in file names because this was built on Linux. Try downloading the game from the web browser and extracting it from there. I will update the file name in a moment.
It's honestly pretty refreshing to play a horror game based on the Hachishakusama urban legend, as it's an urban legend that has always fascinated me ever since I heard about it! Keep up the fantastic work!
Well optimized, great voice acting and a solid story. I couldn't ask for a better indie horror experience. Can't wait to see what comes next! Plus the added bonus of a checkpoint to be able to see all endings!!!!
Game's interesting and has a nice pass to it as well. The story lines up well to the lore as well. Nice job overall. I hope you do more urban myths and maybe some from beyond the Asian Myths.
Amazing tense atmosphere and the sounds throughout the play through were fantastic! Only thing I wish is that there was a checkpoint to replay the ending! Awesome job!
I loved the atmosphere of this one! The sound design was amazing so whoever was in charge of that big props! The wind and ambience hit with real immersion! Also did anyone else feel like when the character spoke at the start they were speaking almost in a Haiku like fashion? Just me? Great job all round :)

a little good game with enough quilty environment aromosphere,u know what? the game even have check point so that u can choose play from check-point or from the begining, this we videomaker could save so much time,no need to u know ,nice job bro ,keep going ,do more better longer game. if so ,i would like play time and time.
took me around 11 minutes,and a little adive is when player choose continue game after end at the first-time-playing, the start button maybe add a cancel-button at the tail.so that would be much firendly.but the game is wonderful enough.
Great game took me around 10-15 minutes. The folk lore is very well told and very out there, not super generic. The atmosphere this game is able to create is incredible. This includes tense moments, great sound design, the voice acting is on point and so much more. Everything is very well done although there is one complaint that I have. That is the Eight Feet Tall Lady. Which I thought was pretty poorly done, as everything is a 3D model and yet she's a jpeg that is able to teleport around. Which really takes the scary aspect away from her which contradicts the horror aspect of the antagonist. Although the atmosphere is able to make up for it in some points. In all the game is very well done, I would give this a solid a 7.5. Well done you have a solid future ahead of you if you keep this up.

I love folk horror like this and I hadn't heard of this one before. Very well done. I did have a little trouble getting it to start, but whitelisting it worked for me.
Someone alteady said it, but the beginning is a little slow.
I tried downloading the Windows Zip but for some reason the Zip was totally empty. Also tried downloading through the native Itch app and that failed to install entirely. Maybe it's just a me problem, though.
So I tried to extract it again today and again it was empty, i was using the built in extractor in windows. I used Breezip and it worked. I hope this works for you too.

The atmosphere really got to me quiet, eerie, and unsettling in just the right way.
The forest setting gave a strong sense of isolation, and the mystery was well-paced. Great job overall!
