This is a common issue with indie games from itch io on windows. The antivirus keeps giving false positives because the game is not signed by Microsoft. What you can do is whitelist the game from your antivirus.

I really enjoyed this game! I'm a huge fan of urban legends, especially Japanese ones, and this absolutely hit the spot. There's something so eerie and immersive about Hachishakusama, and the way this game brought the legend to life was both creepy and oddly calming.
The graphics were beautiful — they had this soft, quiet atmosphere that made the tension hit even harder when it needed to. It’s not a jumpscare-heavy game… and yet, I still managed to get jumpscared twice! 😂
I also really appreciated the multiple endings and how the game let us explore them without forcing a full restart — that’s such a thoughtful touch. I do wish we got to see more of the little fox though, it was so cute.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience. Thank you so much for making this — I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on your future work!

Hello, I'm not sure if you can help but for some reason the game opens and closes instantly when I try and play it. I get this faded pop up for a second that I have attached. I more than meet the requirements with a 4080 Super. I also tried running the .exe from the CMD and I get no errors. I am unsure what to do which is a shame because the game looks fantastic.
Hey, thanks for the reply. I actually got it to work using what you mentioned by creating a shortcut of the .exe and inputting '-force-d3d12' after the .exe name in the target field. Appreciate the help. Game looks fantastic and I am glad I will get to play it. :)
This game is really great, it's a creepy experience. I come from China and I have heard of this Japanese urban legend in China. This is too scary, I'm also afraid of this tall woman. Thank you for making this game. I had a great time

I expected nothing less than a perfection and the game delivery beyond that - superb horror!
As a massive fan of your previous works, especially "Eerie Enigma", I went in excited to play this and I was not disappointed. The game offers very unique atmosphere, gorgeous forest, creepy Tall Lady and actually intriguing story. I had no issues, the performance was great and sadly I got the second ending.
I can't wait to see the next project! Best of luck to all!
P.S. the voice acting in this game is Oscar caliber 👏🏻

It could be a driver issue. Can you try running it from CMD with this flag: `-force-d3d12`
